Leadership positions within Koinonia Houses are elected semesterly, yearly, or chosen by BHM, and are a great way to show love to our brothers in Christ through service.

Resident Assistants (RA): There will be 3 RA's per house. The RA's will share the responsibilities evenly among them. This is a year long position and is hired by the Baptist Housing Ministry (BHM); the RA's rent for the semester is waived, however, BHM holds the right to change the form of payment from year to year so it's best to talk to them for current information on the RA position.
Chaplains: The Chaplains will serve the house as devotional chair and will direct any religious programs. They will also serve as the New-Student Director in the fall and will be responsible for all new-student events such as Legacy Week. They will report to the Resident Assistants on all new-student matters as needed and to the Resident Director for about everything else. They will serve for a semester. This position is chosen by the Resident Director and Executive Director.
Secretary: The secretary is responsible for typing up various house documents such as notes from house meetings, buzz sheets, and a list of residents phone numbers. They also better be funny, because they start each house meeting with a joke. This position is elected by house residents every semester.
Dietary Managers (Commissars): Don't let the name fool you. Commissars, also known as Commies, are responsible for the management of meals for the house. They work with BHM to purchase food to fit a meal plan created by the Commies every week. Every resident is responsible for either meal preps or cleanups which are assigned by the Commies every semester based on the availability of your schedule. Those in this position receive a stipend and is chosen by BHM every semester.
Socials: Socials are responsible for organizing, planning, and setting up events that will help build fellowship and community between Koinonia and Stratford. They work with a budget set by BHM for the year to fund these events. Some events that they usually plan throughout the year are: barn dance, semi-formal/formal, mom's tea, and many more. This position is elected every semester by house residents.
Public Relations Chair (PR): The public relations chair will serve as alum chair for the house. They will be responsible for submitting house news to newspapers. In general, they will direct all matters pertaining to house publicity like Mom’s Day, Dad’s Day, and Quad Day. They are responsible for updating the Koinonia House website. They are the keeper of the external hard drive and requests other house officers to use it to back up documents pertaining to their respective house positions. This position is elected every semester by house residents.
Athletic Director (AD): The athletic director is responsible for the organization and management of sports teams within the house. Working with IM Leagues to register residents on various intramural sports teams of their choosing for that season. They are also the captain of the teams though they don't necessarily have to play on every team. Cooperation with Stratford on co-ed teams is also AD's responsibility. This position is chosen by house residents every semester.
House Photographer (Photog): House Photographer, also known as Photog, deals with documenting house events, sports, and other activities related to the house. This position is elected every semester by the residents of the house. Cameras are not provided with the position so either bring your own or possibly use your phone.
Philanthropic Operations Director (P.O.D):They will be responsible for coordinating volunteer opportunities for the house throughout the semester. This position is elected every semester by the residents of the house.
